Building a Positive Working Environment Through Personal and Interpersonal Development
I. Rationale
Some of the greatest assets of every human being are to be able to control emotions
effectively, handle the emotions of others, empathize with others and to be able to maintain
good relationships. These assets, through the leaders in the organization, should transcend
in every organization to materialize its goals. It needs to acknowledge the emotional capacity
of its workers and recognize where they should improve. How do leaders manage
themselves? Up to what extent do leaders acknowledge their weaknesses and strengths? How
mindful they are in terms of dealing with our people especially with the fellow workers within the
organization?
On the other hand, we believe that communication is today’s most important skill in every
organization to promote a positive working environment and to generate productivity in the
workplace. Is the vision of the organization properly communicated to the rest of the members
of the team for alignment?
Through this training, we will further understand the right communication process. The
communication process involves receiving and giving feedback. We have been conducting
surveys among employees from various industries in the country and the majority of the
Management team and Human Resource Officers admit that workers do not understand that
feedbacking always completes the communication process. As a result, employees feel
disappointed, discouraged, or embarrassed whenever feedbacks of their performances
and outputs are given to them.
Building the right communication process in the workplace is always connected with generating
productivity. Thus, as each company desires to empower the employees to be more productive
and efficient and to not settle for the bare minimum, everyone must go back to the very
foundation of communication.
